Hi Lakshan,

Katharagama Deviyo is Lord Murugan or Mayuri Kandasamy and is assoiciated among Tamils than Sinhala, hailed from South India.

As far as I know Katharagama Deviyo has no apparent relationship to Siripada which is Saman Deviyange Adawiya.

I am not an expert in Murugan. My comment was based on what I have read in the past so I cannot say its true for sure or not. Some have speculations and interpretations.

The history has been written by those who had many different views than a unique one so I am not sure on their 100% credibility.

If you ask me about old singers/film directors I may be able to express my views with more input. You may see that in my channel :)

There is a connection with siripada in this way. Saman Deviyo is the son of Shiva and Badra Kali which is an avatar of Parvati. Kataragama and Saman Deviyo have the same father but two different mothers they are brothers. that is the relationship to siripada.
