"Getting Science Right in the Media: Rapid response to the good, the bad, and the provocative" dives into best practices for pushing back against misinformation and speaking to the media on controversial topics. It features James Shapiro, Professor of Bacterial Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Chicago and a member of the UCS National Advisory Board, along with UCS press secretary Aaron Huertas. It is part of the UCS Science Network Workshop Series, an annual offering of skills-building web-based workshops that provides training opportunities to strengthen communication and advocacy skills.
