It launched on cable tv in 1985 across the UK,and didn't come to the Astra1A satellite across Northern Western and Central Europe in clear PAL until 1989.
Nope, closed in 1993. Its satellite transponder was taken over by the German channel VOX.

It launched in 1985. It only appeared on Astra in 1989 after Sky launched there.
