  • You did an absolutely amazing job of capturing the true devastating enormity that these bushfires had on all Victorians, Australians and the world, not to mention the locals who had to live through the traumatic and scarring event. Having been surrounded by fires and evacuating on multiple occasions, i know the true enormity of the effect the bushfires can have on families. My grandmothers house in Marysville has been burnt to the ground and i have seen the hurt that these fires can inflict.

  • Victoria's Emergency Services Commissioner Bruce Esplin said he hoped for the introduction of the Community Information and Warning System.

The system allows all landline and mobile phones in an area to be called simultaneously to send warning messages in an emergency, and records the response from each call so it's known which phones have not received warning.

The CIWS had been stalled since 2005 while governments argued about who should pay for it and whether it would be adopted nationally

  • You are all sick. How pathetic bickering comes about in a tribute video showing something that still feels like a dream, is beyond me. Anyone who has no consideration for what Australia and Victoria are going through is sick.
