This version by The Lead was theme song for the Japanese release of the Clint Eastwood film "Coogan's Bluff"- This is the original version of the band's lineup with blues guitarist Mark Elder on lead guitar. Phil Trainer is on lead vocals and bass guitar on this track. Tamia Arbucke rhythm guitar and harmony vocals. Alan Hill on drums and harmony vocals. Mark Elder was replaced by rock guitarist Alan Merrill on the band's second album.
Note: Phil Trainer is now known as Phil Steele

This is so sixties, but Hollywood influenced! I like this Japanese version better than the one in the US 'Coogan's Bluff' movie release. The lead guitar by Mark Elder on this is amazing, considering how young he was. I hear he played with Billy Preston after he went back Stateside.

Coogans Bluff was on TV a lot in the 70s when I was stuck home babysitting my brother and sister. Always loved this song. I taped it off the TV back then! Nice version; I'd love to hear a high quality audio track of the original from the US version of the movie.
