#OWS Call to Action for November 17th

General Assembly, Zuccotti Park, NYC.

On Tuesday night, just hours after the eviction and clearing of Zuccotti Park, 1500+ people re-entered for a general assembly to discuss and announce an action against the New York Stock Exchange on November 17. The call is for people of all walks of life to join them in solidarity at 7:00 am. They are asking everyone to make their own simple cardboard placard. One that clearly and succinctly conveys your personal reasons for joining with the 99% Movement. Those who are willing to sit in key entry points to the stock exchange are invited to do so. Those more comfortable with bearing witness from the sidewalks are also most welcome to join.

On Thursday morning
We will march on Wall Street
And the NY Stock exchange
I have been asked
By the affinity groups
working
On this action
To present this proposal

We are asking that this GA call upon all people

Whether threatened by eviction
In their homes
Or public spaces of assembly

To join us, this thursday morning
with this simple request:

That we are nonviolent
but determined

That we gather in the streets
And public spaces
And march
on the edifices of power
That we each carry
A cardboard sign
That tells our story
In a few simple words

And that those who wish
To risk arrest
Do so in sitting
In civil disobedience

We ask this
Because our voices
Together
And our stories combined
Give us hope from despair
And build strength
In our multitude

There is no revolution, just a bunch of lazy psuedo intellectuals who were to stupid to study engineering or law or medicine or anything useful. I just wonder after these hippies have been peeing and pooping in public in these parks, when they go home to their parents couches will they have to be housebroken? I think that parents might want to spread newspapers out in their sons and daughters rooms and work to get them to use indoor plumbing again.
