Actually this isn't an indie song at all. Was on Pleased to Meet Me, their second album on Sire(warner subsidiary). Indie didn't apply to bands of their era, these

were "college rock" bands. College rock stations were the only outlets to hear great

bands like the Mats, Husker Du, Sonic Youth and the list goes on.

If you think this cover is good, you need to hear the original; I agree with espartico, this version is nowhere near the original...I realize cover songs need to have their own life too, but there is nothing here worth listening to. I have listened to a lot of stuff by this band, and admit I just don't get it. For them to try and cover a mats song...and sound so flat in doing so...only confirms my opinion.
