@RockinAwesoification As much full blown offline OS as cloud, sign-up however can be handy to sync already installed application and if you must reinstall OS, you get them back easily

@MarrkDaviid JoliOS version 1.2 is as much full-featured OS as Ubuntu or other, just lighter on system resources, handles better with hardware than Ubuntu 11.10 and it is as much an offline system as cloud, you have enough locally installable softwares for through Synaptic Package Manager, Terminal (not only with keyboard shortcut), folders as usual!

Of course you have to sign up! That is the whole point of Joli! It is a cloud based operating system!

does it have linu-like features e.g. a terminal, the GNU C compiler?

@h0stI13 I don't think that it has a terminal launcher, however you can still access it via a keyboard shortcut. Joli OS can't really be compared to distributions like Ubuntu, it is lightweight, and as a result lacks features and programs out of the box.

Most of the bugs and slowdown is because ur running a live cd inside a virtual machine. Joli OS is actually quite snappy, and those apps install easily and quickly on an installed machine

@Jedipottsy True, I don't know why it wouldn't install in VirtualBox, I might take another look at it.

@xskydevilx Thanks, the OS is alright, I just didn't get a good first impression.
