Slough returned to action following a six week break due to weather based postponements to gain on the league leaders. Two goals in either half from a dominant Rebels side saw them pick up three points and close the gap at the top of the table to five points.

Paul Edgeworth opened the scoring with a well placed header before a thunderous strike from Steve Sinclair five minutes later doubled the lead.

Slough had to ride out a storm at the start of the second half but were able to extend their lead through Dean Clark, bundling the ball home from six yards and Elliott Buchanan finished off the Rebels scoring with nine minutes remaining.

Cornes pulled one back for the home side later on, rounding Ricky Perks, but the game was well over by this point.
