A very brave choice for Katherine. Te Kanawa's voice is much less closely recorded and yet sounds more vibrant and colourful. There is of course also thirty years' difference in age.

The difference between Jenkins and Te Kanawa is that Jenkins doesn't use the correct technique of lowered larynx and open throat technique.

Yep kinda agree with you there, but I actually like their combination of voice together. Neither one is competing with the other iykwim, the resonance in both their voices seems to blend well. Could listen to this duet over and over......
