Ye Dragon slumbers

This is a tribute painting to my Godmother Truda, also known as Ye Dragon, who passed away this week. She was a wonderful unique woman who taught me a lot through just being an example of a wonderful strong and loving person. She also taught me how to cook-she was the best cook in the world! (sorry princessdiana161, you'd have loved her!)

I used audio swap to change the music on this video (luckily it was all set to music so no other audio to use). The original song I used was great-but as some music companies don't want the exposure from vloggers etc, I thought it's safer to choose from an artist who DOES give permission. Thank You Creed, this is one of my favourite songs.
If only record companies would realise it is through using music, and hearing music on vlogs that I tend to actually go out and buy albums!)
The actual painting is a lot more sparkly than it looks on video!

Its a wonderful piece of art Tia, Hemmie says your the best at drawing EVER!! lots of wonderful memories of Truda have come to me since her death, being scolded by her for calling her ye 'olde' dragon, the merengue tin on top of the kitchen cupboard and her truly divine cauliflower cheese that I have never been able to make anything quite as delicious myself to name but a few, you had such a special relationship with each other, love to you, Jen x

I'll send a colour photocopy card to Hemmie :) I got a miniature spare from the one I sent for the funeral. And you'll see the sparkly goodness of the original when you next visit-cos I'm keeping that for myself :)

And. . . I know at least part of the secret to the cauliflower cheese-but it concerns me that you're lactose intolerant! LOL!

I always knew that Truda was the only choice for your godmother especially as you so resemble your paternal grandmother who was her dearest friend (and the reason for her enduring loyalty to the family) They don't make 'em like that anymore and I'm not just saying that because she always called me 'Madam' and even said that my housekeeping would have passed Cheif Wren's inspection on at least 2 ocassions. Thank you for the lovely tribute to an exceptional woman who I loved v. much x
