It must hurt musicians to know that Count Basie, way beyond his prime, was still better than ANYTHING else around!

@wlipman I don't think so. A true musician enjoys Basie's music.

Gregg Field was not as spectacular or showy as say Butch, Duffy, or Sonny but he was a great solid all around swinging drummer that fit right in with the Basie rhythm section.
