Car used to be owned by a close friend of mine. She bought it brand new. She's not mechanically inclined and asked me to fix it for her. REPLACED AT 121,093 MILES, 5 NOVEMBER 2009. • wow thats bad hope it didnt tear up to much in the hub

  • @thunderbird948 The bearing was dry and smelled burned up from lack of lube. The needle rollers inside were discolored from friction. All was well after pressing the new one in. I would not use junkyard assemblies as one person tried to tell me on here once. You'll just cause yourself more headaches when you have to replace it again soon after. Press old one out and press new one in.

  • AWESOME ! ! ! This video just solved my 02 pt cruiser noise problem. I can't wait to dig in : ) Did they have 2 different bearings in 02? How do you know which you have?

  • @mattdidit84 2002 had a change in part numbers. I bought 1 of each. The dealerships nor the VIN tell you which bearing # your car uses. You have to remove the steering arm with the bearing in it & press the bearing out. When you remove the old bearing you have to do a part number crossreference to see which of the two new bearings is a match. I used napaonline to do that. Search on Google HELMUT RONER 2002 PT CRUISER WHEEL BEARING. I posted about it on Tamparacing . com with pictures.
