Haunted A Jonas Horror Story (Chapter 12)

I know these chapters may seem a bit slow but I promise the next few chapters are about to get interesting so keep up the comments :D

Chloe's p.o.v

"One vanilla ice cream" James stated as he took the seat opposite me in the booth. I smiled as I took the tall slender glass from his hands gently placing it down against the chequered table.
"Thanks" he nodded softly as he placed his own glass down in front of him. I couldn't help but let my eyes open widely as I took in his chose of order
"What did you do order the entire shop" I asked as my eyes travelling across the mounds of ice cream in his glass. A rainbow of colours drizzled with chocolate sauce and a selection of nuts.
"No" he chuckled softly
"Don't complain I probably just gave them more business then they got in weeks" he laughed digging his spoon deep into a large section of strawberry ice cream that was frightening to escape down the side of his glass.
"Stop" I smirked taking a scoop of my own
"This place makes lots of business" I defended. This place was almost a part of me it would always be close to my heart. James smirked
"It's been a while since you've worked here" I froze
"What?" I asked and his face fell
"You used to work here didn't you?" he questioned his body stiffened slightly
"How did you know that?" I asked slowly and all of the sudden his body seemed to relax and a smile spread across his lips as he began to dig into his ice cream again
"You told me don't you remember" he smirked but I continued to watch him my heart racing
"No" I answered after some time and slowly he looked up at me from behind his dessert raising his eyebrows
"It was about a month after I first met you, you were telling me about your family and you mentioned that your first job was in this place" he stated simply before going once again back to his ice cream.

I stayed silent questioning him before dropping my head into my hands sighing softly. Those first few months were such a blur, he was probably right I had told him, I just couldn't remember. Or I didn't want to there were a lot of things in those first few months I would have liked to forget. I felt his hand softly place themselves on mine
"Hey Chloe its ok" he whispered comfortingly softly placing his fore finger under my chin lifting my head so my eyes met his.
"It's ok you don't remember" he soothed but my body refused to relax I couldn't put my finger on it, there was just something...

"I knew it was you" a young chirpy voice rung through the small empty cafe and I automatically drew my eyes from James's to land on a girl in her mid teens. She had her honey coloured hair hung loosely in a pony tail drape to the side of her head. A bright smile playing across her lips as her brown eyes continued to watch me in...Excitement?
"Your Chloe right?" she smiled bobbing up and down on her toes slightly. I shifted uncomfortable in my seat as James's hand folded comfortingly around mine. It hadn't been the first time we had been stopped in public before
"Yes" I answered quietly and she let out a squeal of excitement
"You used to work here didn't you" she squealed and my eyes snapped to her
"Ermm...yes" I answered hesitatingly did everyone know that?
"I knew it I knew it" she whispered before stumbling away back into the kitchen. I continued to sit there stunned in silence completely bewildered
"We should leave" James stated and for the first time I realised he was still there his hand still in mine. Slight paranoia on his face. I nodded slowly but as were we standing from the table the kitchen door flew open and the sense of déjà vu rushed over me.

"Chloe?" the familiar warm voice questioned but I was too stunned to answer. There she was though nearly five had passed since I had seen her last she didn't look at day older in fact she looked great. Her honey hair was tied up in a neat bun two curls hanging gently across her cheeks, highlighting the warm rose glow to them. An inviting smile spread across her lips. I could feel the tears burning at the back of my throat at the sight of her motherly frame. How I had missed her, Sandra was more like a mother to be then my own.
"Oh sweetheart" she soothed as she scattered towards me. I let James hand drop from mine as I let her arms engulf me finally letting the tears fall freely.

A: it's of me and my friends at Madame Tussauds with Elvis Presley lol that was such a fun day

This place is bringing back a lot of good memories. She must really like this ice cream shop. Ice cream sounds really good right now. yum....my backgorund..is of Nick. It's really cool. It's like, 3 different pictures of him, but from the same time if that makes sense. It's really cool. and it has a few lines from take a breath. yeah. That's what mine is. =^D
