ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Dark swallows will return
To hang their nests on your balcony
And again with their wing at your crystal
Playing they will call

But those that stopped their fly
To watch your beauty and my happiness
Those that learnt our names
Those... they will not return

Thick honeysuckles will return
To climb up your garden walls
And again in the afternoon even more beautiful
Their flowers will open

But those curdled with dew
Whose drops we looked tremble
And fall as tears of the day...
Those... they will not return !

Ardent words of love will return
To sound in your years again
Your heart from its deep sleep
May be will wake up

But dumb, engrossed and on my knees,
As one adores God in front of his altar,
As I did love you... wise up
No one will love you that way

ORIGINAL (SPANISH)

Volverán las oscuras golondrinas
en tu balcón sus nidos a colgar,
y otra vez con el ala a sus cristales
jugando llamarán.
Pero aquellas que el vuelo refrenaban
tu hermosura y mi dicha a contemplar,
aquellas que aprendieron nuestros nombres...
ésas... ¡no volverán!
¡no volverán!
Volverán del amor en tus oídos
las palabras ardientes a sonar;
tu corazón de su profundo sueño
tal vez despertará.
Pero mudo y absorto y de rodillas,
como se adora a Dios ante su altar,
como yo te he querido..., desengáñate,
nadie así te amará.

Natalia Zimarioff was born of Russian parents Lázaro and Febronia in Montevideo (Uruguay). She learnt to sing with the famous French star Ninon Vallin at the Uruguayan National Conservatory where she met her future husband, composer Pedro Ipuche Riva. She also studied with Lola Rodríguez de Aragón and Irene Joachim. She devoted herself mainly to teaching but left a few recordings that will be uploaded at this channel. Most of her students are singing and teaching all around the world such as Adriana Mastrángelo (Argentina), Jovita Gómez Couto (Spain), Claudio Sotelo (México), Cecilia Latorre (Uruguay). At the present time she teaches in Montevideo to pupils that come from all parts of the world such as Argentina, Germany or Russia.

  • Excellent performance! A magnificent voice!!!

  • Wonderful Video. Great Voice!

  • Awesome !Great video thanks for sharing.

  • An exquisite setting of an exquisite poem, beautifully sung and played. I wish I understood Spanish so I could better appreciate the nuances of the lyrics but I do understand harmony and its emotional implications. Your use of simple, traditional, tonal harmonies to create a restrained, transparent, elegant atmosphere of modern psychological and emotional depth is masterful. Please compose more such art songs and please consider including an introduction, interludes and a conclusion for flute!

  • Wonderful!! Audio and video!!

    Bravo!

  • Köszönöm szépen az élményt.
