Luitore Paani - Jyoti Prasad Agarwala - First Take

This is my version of an Assamese classical song. It is in the genre of Jyoti Sangeet. The Brahmaputra river is called the Luit in Assam. I came back from D.C. a few hours ago and have been tinkering with the guitar ever since.

I apologize for not staying true to the original song - heard it when I was a child and do not remember it well. This is an improvization. I added the introduction from a song I had composed long ago. The playing is messy but what else do you expect from an amateur guitarist?:-) Thanks for still watching me!

Toward the end of the video, I should have written "flow gently, the waters of Luit" and not "flow slowly, the waters of Luit". That apart, some notes are off and some are incorrect. But I do not want to redo it, it's an honest live version - mistakes included ! :-)
