  • Landru is dead.... Charles Macaulay who played the character "Landru" in Star Trek - "Return of the Archons" died 13 August 1999. May he find joy and contentment in the next life....

  • Are you sure Landru isn't short for Lena Meyer-Landru ?

  • you will be absorbed.

  • @drewby7777 And do what was needed, go to any lengths, in order to stop a terrorist leader (For the Uniform). He was also an awesome personality and a great singer and dancer. He was a passionate man, fully knowing that his duty to Starfleet meant doing what he had to do to save lives and uphold the ideals of the Federation.

  • @drewby7777 I think Kirk was definitely better than Picard as captain. But ultimately, Sisko is the only captain they call "The". He's also the only one to punch out a Q. But that is not why Sisko is the greatest captain of them all. Sisko was one of those individuals, a proletarian type, who would be on the front lines with his people when he was needed (Siege of AR-558), would compromise his principles if it meant saving lives (In the Pale Moonlight), |C|

  • @BloodiestMargie So do you need me to break your argument further? I want to thank you for showing everyone here that A) like all liberals you resort to personal attacks when you couldn't prove me wrong. B) Liberals don't do any research they only believe what the liberal media tells them and C) Liberals are faux intellectuals whose basis in knowledge in politics is confined to soundbytes and front page headlines. In more simple terms for the liberal to understand - I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE WRONG!

  • @BloodiestMargie "Ultimately, the complete lives system does not create 'classes of Untermenschen whose lives and well being are deemed not worth spending money on,' but rather empowers us to decide fairly whom to save when genuine scarcity makes saving everyone impossible." All these quotes are from Obama "health" advisor Ezekiel Emanual. A scarcity of resources would come from covering millions more for nothing and removing $500 billion from Medicare/medicaid which is going to happen!

  • @BloodiestMargie

"Strict youngest-first allocation directs scarce resources predominantly to infants. This approach seems incorrect. The death of a 20-year-old woman is intuitively worse than that of a 2-month-old girl, even though the baby has had less life. The 20-year-old has a much more developed personality than the infant, and has drawn upon the investment of others to begin as-yet-unfulfilled projects."

  • @BloodiestMargie "Services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia."

"When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated."

  • @BloodiestMargie Meaning that just like in England and their NHS dept which refuses people care because of age and /or occupation even to the point that they give care to non-residents before lifelong citizens that paid in their whole lives because the state will get more taxable income from the younger non citizen, the same criteria will apply here. Only a fool would think otherwise. THAT'S what people were complaining about and that's what someone coined death panels! Look it all up.

  • @BloodiestMargie From Obama himself, "What I've proposed is that we have a panel of medical experts that are making determinations about what protocols are appropriate for what diseases. There's going to be some disagreement, but if there's broad agreement that, in this situation the blue pill works better than the red pill, and it turns out the blue pills are half as expensive as the red pill, then we want to make sure that doctors and patients have that information available to them."
