  • Dunno who this is, but if per chance you were an alto at this time, do you remember the girl who started to pass out? 2:31 is a fellow alto putting her stuff down to help her off stage. Yeap. My friend was the girl on the other side and I was riiiight in front of them That's what I remember best from this day. Hahaha.

  • @illusions142 Haha! I was an alto at the time. I was in the second row. I went to Clear Creek, what school were you from?

  • Our choir is singing this for our Christmas concert. It's much jazzier and more dynamic, in our interpretation. The conductor is directing it too slowly in this interpretation.

  • We learned the song that day.... We did the best we could with the hour we had to learn it.

Songs can be performed in so many different ways. Yes most people sing this song faster and such. But we did what we could.

  • I agree this is sung way too static. The choir should be rockin'

  • Yeh. I realize this. However. We learned the song that day. We wanted to add something to jazz it up, but the direction was afraid it wouldn't get pulled together. The quality is bad, but I do know, many people were moving to the beat, as much as they could since we had to sing it at a slower tempo haha.

Thanks for the comment though :)

  • stage presence was pretty. and this is supposed to be a happy song but it seems like everyones so quiet until the end note, which is the easiest part..

  • it's quite interesting to see it being sung by non Kenyans. Very well done. This was one of my favourite songs in Kenya the youth really loved singing it at church :)

  • @RoughridersFan08

Yeah, the director was pretty strict about our tempo and such. And yessssssssss I was definitely rockin a little bit to the beat! Haha

  • @RoughridersFan08 I was from Regina. (The blue and gold robes) :P

  • I've been watching a few versions of this song on Youtube, and finally in this video I can hear the 2nd soprano's part! It was my part when my choir sang it in high school - just three of us then. By the way, I think you guys did an excellent job for only learning the song that day with such a huge choir. Good job!

  • Good!

I heard this song at Free State University, they sing other version - more quickly.

  • i sang this song at the glee club

    i'm in the alto section
