Why are churches biting each other this way? Will they know we are Christians by our ability to display our superiority over one another in satirical one-up-man-ship? I feel like the ear is telling the eye it's stupid and bad instead of rejoicing/weeping with it.
" oh we're just helping people get in touch with their personal friend and saviour jesus christ", Why do they have to sound so blasé when they say that???
"Oh how am i doing? well i used to be addicted to meth and heroine, but then i someday just picked up this christ guy, and i turned my life around, so... same old same old..." Isn't it supposed to be more serious and important than that?
Corruption has appeared to arisen in churches with elaborate systems of human checks and balances as well. It's not about desiring anarchy, it's about ensuring that Christ is the one leading His church and His Church following their Leader. As I read the N.T., I see a very "flat" organization--Christ, and (under him) His followers.
There is a reason for church structures. Corruption arrises in a church that does things unchecked. The Pope didn't have to go through people during the middle ages. Many of the radical reformers didn't go through people to do things with the church, and they killed thousands of people. In America, churches unchecked are plagued with marital affairs, power mongering pastors, and other things. They exist for a reason. Anarchy is not a good practice even in the church.

@MJCauley are you on staff at a church?

How is it missional to criticise sister and brothers in Christ. Shouldn't you, uhm, do mission instead?
@MJCauley: you are soooo right!

A volume check in the recording would help. I have Disliked only because I can't hear it too well.

Wow, this is the most inaccurate depiction of mainline churches I have seen. Way to criticize what you don't understand.
