The sound that the rice makes is pretty cool. I'm Laotian Canadian and I have a lot of relatives living in Laos and northern Thailand. But I grew up and live in Canada.

Just because he made a stupid comment doesn't mean you have to reply with an equally stupid one.
This dance has similarities with the basket dances of the Ifugao in the Northern Philippines, as well as other ethnic groups.
Like other people have said, all South-east Asian peoples are related. Both Thais and Filipinos have similar dances, like the Fawn Thai and the Philippine Pangalay. As well as the Thai's Lao Kra Tob Mai to the Filipino's Tinikling and Singkil.

they don't look northan thai
but they appear well.
do you really know the term, of immitation!? or do not know that Thai, Malay, and Filipinos are all related to each other.. just like how Korean traditional dances somewhat can relate to chinese, ours relate to each other.. do not be so wise as to assert your assumption and make it as if we are cultural thieves..

There is no such thing as Thai dance imitating Filipino dance. All of southeast asia is related to each other somehow and all of them pick up similar dance moves in relation to our cultures. It's like saying Japanese people are chinese and vise versa. We should appreciate how we are all related in origin somehow and our uniqueness and not worry about who copies who in what cause no one culture is better than the other. It should be appreciated...
