Also as far as the original trilogy goes, cause I will agree character relation is non existant in the prequels, the characters were an extremely huge part. A story with romance, redemption, self-sacrifice, friendship, and hope.

Shatner's delusional. Star Wars was never attempting to be what Star Trek was. Star Trek is science fiction. A work that showed a brighter tommorow. Star Wars is space fantasy. A classic hero's journey, that happens to be in space. It's like comparing Star Trek to King Arthur or Robin Hood.

As for me, I grew up watching Star Wars....and I didn't start watching Star Trek until very recently. (The movies, not the OS or TNG, but I will eventually.) But I'm just ganna remain neutral and say that they're both good in their own ways.
