A commercial that aired on KXMB-TV (Bismarck, North Dakota) and KXMA-TV (Dickinson, North Dakota) describing some of meteorologist Tom Szymanski's most frequently used phrases. Although Szymanski was new at KXMB/KXMA when this commercial began airing, he has been on North Dakota television screens since 1992, when he began working at KVLY-TV in Fargo. He became a popular and well-respected chief meteorologist there, but was suddenly and unexpectedly let go in 2007. He subsequently went to KXMB in Bismarck. Meanwhile, the man he replaced at KXJB nabbed his former job at KVLY.
This was recorded off of the KXMA-TV stream. Although KXMB and KXMA are semi-satellites of each other and have the same schedule, KXMA's schedule is one hour earlier than KXMB's because Dickinson (and all of southwestern North Dakota) is in the Mountain Time Zone. This is the reason why the voice over of this commercial says "watch KX news at 6 & 10" but the display on screen says "watch KX news at 5 & 9."
We lived in Grand Forks for 3yrs and have never forgotten Tom .. Always enjoyed his weather ... he made "Below the doughnut" worth hearing about ... LOL ... I'm so glad we don't live there anymore though .. and this morning here it's "below the doughnut" .. And I'm very thankful that it doesn't happen often

Good, he got back on TV somewhere after KVLY Fargo let him go. He deserved better. Fargo sucks ass, it's why I left it 9 years ago and have never been back.
