Taking the last chips down to 60mm.
In the end, this bar should turn into a new main spindle, for my old horizontal mill.

  • Is this stainless?

  • No just "ordinary" steel, if such a thing exists.. ;) Found it on the junkyard, so I hav no idea of what it was made up off.

  • Ok, where's the coolant? Why arent you using coolant?

  • The pump was broken, so I give it a bit of oil now and then, thats why it smokes. Not the most optimal way to do it, but it works fairly ok.

  • Bad..

I ended up taking 0.02mm too much of one of the bearing fittings.

But I learned to always use my micrometer screws instead of a digital caliper, even though the caliper has a resolution of 0.01mm

  • Nice surface whoah......

  • حاجه جميله تستحق الاعجاب

ارجو تسجيل العمليات الاولى مثل الكروته واستعدال القوره والسنتر

  • nice finish

  • Looks like cold rolled steel in my opinion

  • Think three times, measure twice, and cut once!

  • sucks about that 0.02 mm but thats why they always say for precise measurments use a mic not a caliper. when tolerances are that close you got to you precise measuriung euipment. better luck in the future.
