I found out the daredevils can't be killed by fire the hard way... made me mad since I was trying to get rid of them the "classic" way (funnest way to kill a Sim since the original Sim City), although I find it funny how they get excited and overjoyed by fires.
When they "burn up", all that happens is they get the Adrenaline rush moodlet.
Everyone else, not so much, though the Grim Reaper doesn't take Unlucky or Losers until they get too old.
Don't forget the children of Firefighters, either.
