I was sobbing at the end of The sweet Far thing. I confess, I was deeply turned on by the way Mrs. Bray described Kartik, and to see such a character meet an end was heart wrenching. I wanted He and Gemma to be together to, and to see them forced apart forever was painful. There was no happy ending in this book for me.
