you could just twist the pack next time and the magnet will be stuck in the body and the pack can just twist freely

Yeah but I don't want the pack to spin. I wanted it to stay stable when I move it. otherwise the pick would be all twisted all the time. this way even though it may shift it will always jump back into place on its own and I don't have to keep adjusting it.

Nah. I meant that for when you have trouble with the polarity and you stick the magnet to the pack and then stuck it into the body. But you had trouble with it staying there and one way to keep the magnet in the body is to twist off the pack and the magnet will stay in the body. Then you just need to glue it.
