Ok here's my lame attempt at Van Halens Mean Street Intro... It's as close as I tried to make it without wasting too much time as I'll never be able to play it half as good as the original - I just don't have it in me! :)

  • Good job! How long have you been using the G-System? Enjoyed listening :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • Thanks! I have had for maybe 3-4 years now I guess? Glad you stopped by and appreciate the comment very much! I try to turn everyone on to the G-System, and now the Nova System too for those who are on a tighter budget. Feedback on my demos has been really positive. When I used it for the first time, it just clicked like "somebody FINALLY got it right!" and bought it on the spot. I'm coming from the G-Major, so it was a seamless and no brainer transition for me. Many thanks Joey :) Take Care!

  • Great sound! I think you can eliminate the mic though if you use Amplitube as a VST in Logic or Garage Band. Still, great recording

  • Thanks! Well yeah I know what you mean, cause I record with it in Logic, but if I try to record video using photobooth or iMovie, it just records the dry guitar signal? Pre-effect...? Any ideas? I'm using an Apogee firewire AD interface

  • What amp did you use? Sounds great for youtube!

  • Thanks! - I actually used Amplitube on my Mac which is software based amp modeling and its just coming out of my Bose speakers into the mic on the Mac... I have a friend who always challenges me to play something and I see if I can, and this one fell a bit short, but I'd like to believe I could get it eventually if I REALLY wanted to... :)

  • I'll have to look into it some. I'm sure you can do it. I was successful recording from a line 6 pod pro to video going direct into Quicktime using a Lexicon Lamda.

I thought Logic would do the video too since you can edit video scores and stuff. Maybe I've got it wrong.

Maybe it is just a matter of looping the output direct into the mic?

I'm just an IT guy that pretends to play LOL. You have to have your stuff wired to post out here without getting flamed.
