  • Excellent video, well done. I do hope you are going to make a similar one of the storm we had yesterday and today, which was and still is even more spectacular than what happened over the weekend. Northland here.

  • Yes i have made another video which is about 7 minutes long. Im still getting Isobar and saterlite maps for it and it will on youtube by this evening.

  • Cool vid! Must have been some storm! wish we had one of those last winter.

  • Thanks. Actually Ive just heard that the second storm will be destructive with lots more heavy rain. It will also be more widespread and slow moving

  • If a low pressure system like this was off the coast of Queensland or Western Australia in summer time, it'd be a category 4 or 5 cyclone.

  • @1bosnia1 Well it is big for us cause our weather is usually nice

  • @WhoaahX i remeber that too! Did you see that big one in isel park? A tree fell onto waimea school and trapped three students too

  • @aus2045 Of course thats what people say about NZ

  • @1bosnia1 What are you trying to say about NZ?

  • It didn't just hit the north island, it hit nelson too! Thats at the top of the south island, where i live. A tree fell and nearly smashed at our back door!

  • I was a young girl when the wahine storm happened and i will never forget it, i will also never forget seeing the wahine floundering in the harbour this huge boat on its side the water so shallow it seemed surreal, roof flying everywhere and lampost bending over in the straightlined winds !!

  • wish the wind would blow all the over stayers out and back to there own country lol

  • yes, typical of new zealand for something that is small on an international scale to be blown out of proportion, although that is a good reason why it is a nice country to live in.

  • were u there?
