Naked Eye has never really been played the same by the Who at any of their shows. Check out the performance at the end of the Woodstock show. Scot did just fine watching Pete for the cues. And Pete's solo playing and his windmilling moves, show he was with it with Scot's drumming. It was a great way to end what up to then had been a disastrous show for the Who.

He did just great in both tunes.....he was damn lucky. He sure had bragging rights for the rest of his life. I hope there will be something this year marking the 40th anniverdary of this happening.

When Pete Townshend first asked for a drummer, it was sort of tentative....almost jokingly, then after a moment, he thought yes let's really do this, and asked again, letting everyone know he really meant it. He said later that he didn't want to stop playing yet, and knew the only way was to find somebody else to drum.....fortunately Scot was there to step up!

Undeniably awesome. What are the chances, that the most important part of the rhythm section could be replaced by an AUDIENCE MEMBER, at the time of need. They took a f*cking huge chance, even trying it, and it worked out. Incredible.
