In fairness, Travolta no doubt had to do a number of takes before he got it right for the movie. It's different on stage. You can't be expected to get it perfect all the time, especially if you're a novice like Max was.

@austengirl73 Technically, the movie version was released in 1978, and John Travolta was born in 1954, so he was 24 years old when he did the movie. That's still relatively young... The majority of actors from that show Glee are in their 20s and it takes place in high school =p
If you're in your 20s, you can still pull off the high school look because you're still young-looking.
