Cuba Calixto Garcia Hospital - Cast

Video taken May 2009 at the Emergency Room of the Calixto Garcia Hospital in Havana, Cuba. This is one of the country's main hospitals, located in front of the University of Havana near El Vedado and Centro Habana. Note the primitive method for applying a cast, the hygiene of the ER, and the indications from the nurse to the patient "hold your leg steady!".

@mihankhah Hola, yo mismo pedi permiso y les dije que tenia curiosidad como turista, no me pusieron problema. Hasta hubo un guardia de seguridad que me escolto mientras filmaba.

Yo diria que fue una racha de suerte...el gobierno cubano ya sabe que los hospitales estan en pesimas condiciones (parecen hospitales del tercer mundo), y por lo tanto no quiere que los extranjeros se enteren de la realidad...
