Since when was there a 'correct positioning' for a bass guitar? I'm pretty damn sure it's based on personal preference, such as ease to reach the strings and comfort, where the bass is positioned.
Also, this guy's pretty good at playing. Sure, he's no Evan Brewer or Victor Wooten, but he's better than a lot of bassists I've seen.

Just a little underdefined attack for me on the notes. I'm sure hes hitting everything spot on but I prefer to have a little more bite/attack :D

I can't believe people are bashing this guy cause of how high up his bass is...hes obviously very skilled and you need to shut the fuck up about it.

i had a basplayer once who was forced to play high due do the amount of body fat.

Fair play to you man. Playing some slap and with your fingers. That's one thing I love to listen to in metal is a bassist who can play like that.

It's much easier to play the guitar the higher it is.

@willbassyeahsgindo Post a video of yourself playing and I'll let you know what you can do to help that issue. If it's a technique problem I can point it out, if not, I suggest going to a doctor or not playing for a few weeks
@Steve128967 Dude, I think you are one of the few that understand the purpose of playing high up like this. I personally ca not play if my instrument is low, I feel like it limits me, so I play this high as well, and every time I play a show and all the bands have their bassist playing super low, I automatically lose interest because I expect nothing great from the bassist, and I am usually right, and at the end they always ask me how I play the way I do, and I tell them its because I play high
