48 Hour Film 2011 Asheville Lost Cowboy (a Modernwestern Love Story)

Winner of "Best Cinematography" and in the Top Ten!
Armed with only a FlipHD/iMovie/and 48 hours and not to mention the Worst genre "Western or Musical".This is my film we made for the 48Hour Film Project along with the help of Seth Sechrist. Your given a Genre along with other elements you Have to use. You have 48hours to create something. It was two days of complete exploration/frustration/excitement. There were times where we had No direction or Idea of what were going to do. WE are proud of what we did this entire weekend. This short film to us, is completely original and tells a story through visuals and not so much dialogue. This weekend has been deemed (to us) as being top 5 weekends of all time! It forced us in every way mentally and physically.

Thank you everyone! I was dumbfounded when I found out I won "best cinematography" Really honored to get that. I've been filming for only about 6 months using only a Flip HD Video camera and the basic iMovie. I have an underwater casing for the underwater shots. I hope to blow this one out of the water soon! Nice first entry. Kind of Dead Man meets American Grafitti. I've got to admit that you do a wonderful job combining visuals and soundtrack to create a mood and establish character.

Your visuals are awesome! I'm not really sure I get the story. Maybe it's just a little over my head :) How did you shoot the underwater footage?
