A short video showing the place des Vosges (1:41), the rue des Rosiers (5:46), and part of the Marais, in Paris, France. You can see the type of crowds that develop in popular areas on weekends with good weather.

The rumbling noise you hear in many parts of the video is just the wind. The bad cuts at around 4:30 were due to a power failure while I was editing the video; that did something to the editing project and I couldn't make it go away.

  • I suppose tourists bring a lot of revenue into Paris and account for them being able to keep it well preserved but I hear a lot of parisians simply don't like them. Looking at this i can understand why

my god they are everywhere and look asif they own the place.

  • @bluewren2 Almost everyone you see in this video is Parisian. As I recall, this was shot on a Sunday, and in good weather Parisians love to go strolling through the city, especially in the area around the Marais.

  • I became interested in this region of the city after watching Woody Allen's movie set in Paris. Excellent video!..thanku..one of the best..I felt like I was there. (no annoying background music). Thank you for the caption option. picture quality& colors of this video are awesome. Question: How did you take the video from that vantage point? Are you extremely tall?

  • @kamillianne I'm a little bit taller than average but not a giant. However, I often hold the camera well above or below eye level, depending on the needs of a particular shot. Glad you liked the video!

  • I really enjoyed this one. Thanks.

I was struck by all the people in blue jeans. Must be because they are warm in winter. Whoever sells blue jeans in Paris is making a fortune.

At least you dont see people wearing baseball caps like in the USA. I really hate to see Paris Americanized. McDonalds in the Louvre which you showed in your Louvre video. Now blues jeans on all most everyone in this video.

  • @joebstewart Paris is a big and modern city: people dress pretty much the way they want. I have to laugh at tourist books and travel guides that give detailed instructions on how to dress in the city, as if Parisians are going to care.

  • ugly church

  • do not ever go "CHEZ HANNA" this place is so expensive and dirty! This was my friendly advice for you guys...

  • I guess I should change that to say 95 per cent of "young" people are wearing blue jeans. This blue jean craze was started by James Dean, Marlon Brando, and Jack Kerouac back in the 1950s.

  • But in your video 95 per cent of them are wearing blue jeans.

Maybe in the warm weather the women change to shorts and dresses. I hope so. In your latest video on the Louvre I see people wearing all kinds of clothes, But in this Marais video almost everyone is wearing blue jeans. Since it looked somewhat cold I guess that is the reason.
