Why take your watch in to get a 5 dollar battery replaced when you can do it yourself with a simple watch repair kit you can buy online for less than 30 dollars. In this video you will see how I change a battery in a ESQ watch that used to cost me 85 bucks at a jeweller to get replaced.

  • Do you ever add silicon grease to the gasket to help with the water resistance?

  • @38dragoon38 No I didn't but it would help, I've since retired that watch to use only in the garage working on projects

  • Is there any way of doing this without the specialist tool?

  • @SuperBasscase no not really unless you rigged something up, i have a few watches so I purchased a cheap kit off ebay otherwise i'd just take it in and pay the money to get the battery changed
