JUST FOR YOU
-- To Tom Cruise
Just light,
No language
just your forehead
in the midnight of the city.
just one word, or just
keep it quite.
I hold my breath, at UCLA campus,
I hold my breath again
just for you, Tom Cruise
We all know this world,
nothing is perfect,
like Venus' arm
like snow after the rainbow
like thunderstorm blows the window
Tom, I saw it
I see it
Beauty is not always perfect.
I see a STAR rising in the sky
I see a kid crying over my shoulder,
I see a teardrop falling down on your cheek,
brilliant, shining,
I see a Superman flying to MARS
With no weapon;
I see you
A beautiful spirit standing
in front of my mirror
Let's not talk about vanity
Let's not talk about money
Let's talk about faith
talk about your blood blazing for the character
How would you do?
What would you do?
I give you my hand
I shut my eyes
I turned around
I see your enlightened eyes.
Oh boy, you may say I am a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one
This song just for you
this evening shining because of you.
A door is open,
Just like the sun is always new
A thousand miles are waiting for you
I'm singing this song, for you
just for you
( saw Tom's speech Oct.25, 2004 at UCLA)
