  • So glad that there's no Pato Banton on the original :)

  • I first heard this one as a remake by Bonnie Raitt. It was on "Green Light" which was expected to be her breakthrough. That would have to wait 'til "Nick of Time" a few years later. Instead this and the Clash's remake of "Police on My Back" would get Eddy's career going again in the 80's.

  • When I was in the Philippines in 1968-69, there were two or three versions of this song on jukeboxes in the bars, none of those versions by the Equals. In fact, I didn't know the Equals had done this song first until I returned to the States. I didn't know about the Equals' original version until then because none of the local Top 40 stations played the song when it was new.

  • Great song

  • Like the beat

  • a young eddy grant! ..rude boy on electric ave" .

  • so I gotta learn this for music class played it once and knew it how easy-.- allthough good song

  • Eddy did it better solo

  • very cool and funky song back to 1968!

  • What great footage! Is this the precursor to Funk? It's got a real funky vibe.
