She called in sick to work for all of August...so what? That has nothing to do with you. Did she pay the rent? The only thing that is your business is **did she pay the rent?** Do you charge rent based on how many people will be living there? A single person can rent the house for less than a married couple with a kid? That's discrimination based on familia status....which is a federal offense.

Saying that your last boyfriend was black doesn't change the fact that your comment IS racist. Who cares if she called in sick? Is that any of your business? Did her calling in sick affect your ability to go into HER house without consent? (When you rent it, it becomes THEIR home). She doesn't have to let you in the house unless there is a NECESSARY emergency. Give up the landlord business until you know the rules and regulations regarding renting in your state.
