.....Shashi Tharoor: But the point is that we are not the US and we don't have to agree with everything they say and the way they do it, but this particular speech had nothing to do with us. The only thing is that when pressure is eased on the al-Qaeda and Taliban( http://connect.in.com/taliban/profile-522879.html ) in Afghanistan and Pakistan, it adds to the pressure on us and therefore it is a good thing for us that that aspect of the problem is dealt with and those people are left on the backfoot.......

Extremely crafted statements at every stage of the conversation between two intellectual personalities. But somewhere the pressure which suppose to be build up by KT intellectually with more evidence was bit lacking. Where Shashi Tharoor is best to prepare complex meaning full & precise statement with right directional execution.

First time seeing Karan falling a bit. He thrives at making old babus like Modi and nitwits like Arundhati squirm but faced the heat with a class act like Tharoor. The pure sensationalist part of the program format was exposed a bit. Good show nevertheless.

This man, Karan Thapar, is intelligent, no doubt about that. BUT, he does NOT know what a discussion is. He sure does know what an argument is, because an argument mostly encompasses pressing your opinion on the other person's head to make them agree or to shut them up. A discussion, on the other hand, involves expression your own opinion, acknowledging the other person's opinion and taking facts-figures into consideration before you start ranting about anything you want. KT, you cannot discuss.
