As requested by kd7895. All clips are the property of Showtime, I own nothing.
Anne Boleyn makes her debut in France as the first Marquis of Pembroke, and Henry's soon-to-be second wife and queen.

Anne and Henry travelled to Calais which was an island near France ruled by the English. I don't think they were able go to France as Queen Eleanor, Francis's wife (and niece of Catherine of aragon) refused to receive Anne.

  • didn;t Anne and Henry actually go to France? and not King Francis coming to England?

  • King François 1er was really liked by women actually and even by the french people, the actor really do great job :)

  • King Francis.....marry me you don't need to be a king to earn my love. ;)

"and was still under Rome (has it remained mainly Catholic to this day?...I'm not sure)"

French people are catholic (the majority) however France has not official religion.

And a lot of catholics are in fact atheists.

  • "it is much harder to have everything than to have nothing" ~ King Francis. Classic line

  • @monikaedv I love finding kindred spirits. Especially when they can find obscure music. :) There is a Tudors soundtrack, Season 2, but I don't think this song is included. I need to listen track-by-track, more carefully. I am grateful for your help - surely there are others who are as well.

I also had to know! I knew I had heard it before, and I've been searching through my music for 3 days now before I finally found it. It's a sephardic song called "Si Verias". I don't know who plays the version on Tudors, but I've got a great version of it by Ensemble Accentus. Will keep searching for this particular version though. I'm happy! :) :) :)

  • Someone asked earlier - I will ask again - what is the title of this piece? The music is quite different from the rest. It haunts me. I MUST know!!!!
