  • Republicans = Democrats. The shit is just showbiz.. Wake the hell up people.. Money is at the root of the problem. We live in a bass ackwards society.. Ignorance is bliss, most people would rather keep running along on their little hamster wheel than try to understand what's really going on around them.

"The happiness of society is the end of government." - John Adams

  • i was an avid obama supporter but now i smell something fishy about him. i dont believe he is really in charge of that country he might be the head of state but i dont believe he hold all the power. there is a sayin here americans can tell you what britney spears ate and all the celebrity nonsense but they cant tell you what their government is doing such a shame.their ignorance is unbelievable. thats all im sayin

  • @Mirovozzrenie100 Government funding for science? I'm talking about direct cash subsidies to private firms.

  • @sidecar771 Your first sentence would have you failed in any argumentation paper in college. Government funding for science isn't redistribution of wealth. Also any sector that would rather see less government interference would be the private sector, and rightfully so.. many regulations are deemed unnecessary and I can see that as a true statement.. easily.

  • @Mirovozzrenie100 The aerospace and technology industries would not exist were it not for the government's crucial initial and ongoing support. In fact, you'll be hard pressed to find any sector of the economy not beholding to Uncle Sam...go ahead...try. Stimulus jobs (infrastucture, R&D etc.) are the kind to be found onshore. Unemployment and consumer debt are what need to change. I agree the USA has too many crazy rules and too few that serve the general welfare.

  • @sidecar771 Thoughts? Yes, the very people who made the Stimulus even admitted it's failure to live up to all the expectations. For an economy to grow, we need more jobs HERE than overseas for starters, less state coercion on small business forcing them to pay outstanding fees for out of pocket insurance liabilities. Demand is something too complicated mathematically to explain in this tiny little box. Government handouts never have and never will help the economy, especially the private sector.

  • @Mirovozzrenie100 No, I'm saying that individually-rational microeconomic-level actions — if taken collectively by a large proportion of individuals and companies — can lead to inefficient aggregate macroeconomic outcomes i.e. low growth, high unemployment and insufficient aggregate demand. Government stimulus in such cases begins a cascade of events wherein the total increase in economic activity is a multiple of the original government investment...thoughts?.

  • @sidecar771 You're going to sit there with a straight face and say redistribution of wealth was the only thing that saved these "1 million jobs?" My oh my... what sights we have to show you.. lmfao.

  • @sidecar771 "First of all" The overall federal spending was 811 billion, you can cut and criss cross it however you like, the money is gone. Also the corporate tax in this country is the highest out of any country in the world, so the ultra rich pay more. I wouldn't go about taxing the slightly rich simply because they're more successful. You gotta draw the line somewhere, so I suggest you "look it up." Duh! Eisenhower is the one who warned us of these problems and you're not solving them lol.

  • @Mirovozzrenie100 First of all the 800 billion bas slightly over 700, half of which was tax cuts. Furthermore congressional Republicans held up the disbursement of funds so that only about 180 billion was spent after 18 months. Without this meagre stimulus something over 1 million more jobs would have been lost. Capital gains tax and income taxes are higher on the wealthy in Japan, Australia, Canada, and every major European country. Look it up. Remember Eisenhower...duh!

  • @jpaicos1 The USA is not behind any fucking country in healthcare you goddamned moron retard. Cuba doesn't even have half the technology we have.. god are you people FUCKING STUPID!? Cuba has less infant mortality rates because they ABORT EVERY FUCKING CHILD with even a slight sign of a problem. You'll sit there with a straight face and tell me a country that doesn't even have stitches for its own people and no neonatal care has better health care? You're fucking stupid, stop talking, fuckinfuck

  • @sidecar771 We tried an 800 billion dollar stimulus remember? It did jack shit, the rich are taxed in this country more than most others. Expecting other people to float our asses on a silver platter is not the answer, even though it sounds simple and oh so wonderful to people like you. Stop huffing paint thinner and educate yourself because it's not as easy as "Tax the rich even more! Make the government bigger and let them take more money from the rich and give it to us! I LOVE BIG GOV!! 8==>
