I remember the episode when someone interferred with Erin Walton she was the only one who didnt say 'nite grandpa' at the end from that episode on.

As a kid I never realised Mom Walton's vagina was truly a clown car.

My parents stay close to their siblings. Which to today we are close to our aunts and uncles and cousins which makes it one big loving family carrying down to another generation. hopefully never stops.

The one thing I remember about watching the Waltons with my parents is how they relate to the show. They both grew up during the depression. They knew about the pains and challenges that faced most of Americans in those dark days. Their big families helped ,everybody pitched in and made it brighter. When my parents talked about their childhood even though they didn't have much, it was always positive because they had a big loving family.

This isn't fake tv and false family living...this IS the way it was and can be. IF we don't let Hollywood steer the ship.

For the best tv theme ever, search 'grandstand theme' you won't be disappointed.

Don't you wish we really could live a life like the Waltons?

I grew up in a big family. To be honest, it was nothing like the Waltons. There was no "feel good factor", no "good night JimBob" or any thing like that. I am sorry and ashamed to say we hated each other. Couldnt wait to run away from home. The only thing that kept me sain was The Waltons. I truly wished i part of there clan. I tried to imangain myself fitting in with them. I so wanted to help in the wood shed, but at least i can say, i give my kids the Waltons love.
when this was on tele England was a happy country.

@stevedogan That's why I love this show. To be reminded of a time when the world didn't have computers or iPads. When things were simpler.
