The Kukkia and Vilkas video describes our first experiment in kinetic garments. We have integrated the shape memory alloy Nitinol in textile substrates to create Kukkia and Vilkas, two animated dresses that move or change shape over time, using resistive heating and control electronics. • Finnish invention?

  • Amazing work!

  • would be really cool if you implanted smaller processor's in the flowers (like a Pic12-series processor) , which respond to the light-strength using one or more photoresistors. so it could react different depending on the enviroment , could also use tactile sensors ^^
