Chuck & Echo || Desert Rose

Hey!!

Here's my entry for the 3rd Challenge of SoYouThinkYouCanVid - Alternate Universe/Crossover.

I based the video on 2 storylines: In Gossip Girl, it's the mysterious Elle storyline and in Dollhouse well, it's pretty much the show's storyline haha!

The show follows an organization that employs mind-wiped DNA-altered humans known as Dolls who are implanted with false memories and skills for various missions and tasks. When they are not 'at work' they are living in a real life Dollhouse which gives the show the name. One of those mind-wiped humans, a young woman named Echo, is slowly starting to become aware of herself and what's going on...

I think the video is pretty simple to understand, especially if you know both fandoms, or even just one of them... but if you know none, I'll try to explain it a little bit XD

So, Chuck met a mysterious girl at a soiree and they got together... then he wakes up and she's gone, he doesn't clearly remember her. Then, he stumble on her in the street so he decides to follow her... she's in a club and he continues spying on her... then he leaves and see her leaving on her motorcycle... he decides to follow her again to find out that she's going into a secret place... he takes the elevator and discovers the Dollhouse... he searches and finally find her. When she sees him, she begins to remember their night together. They escape to a desert place... and well, I don't wanna give away the ending so if you really don't understand, message me hahaha!

I always thought that the Dollhouse was the perfect place for Chuck XD I mean, all the girls he pays to sleep with him... totally DH style mwahahaha XD

I wanted to vid SO many AU couples... at least a dozen XD I really wanted to vid Brooke/Dean but then, I thought it would have been way too obvious and not so original... then I thought about Lucas/Serena but I already did that, twice... so I wanted to try something new... I was going to go for Brooke/Dan but I changed my mind at the very last minute when I randomly heard that song on shuffle XD It totally fitted the idea I had for Chuck/Echo so I had to do it hihihi! Plus, I've never seen a vid about this couple or on this song before so yay for that! haha!
By the way, I'll probably try to vid all the AU couples on my list anyways so don't worry mwahahah! :D

*** I would like to dedicate this video to my wonderful friend Jenna, who's known as NoReturnPr0ductions on YT. So giiirl, this is your VERY late birthday present hahaha! I know, almost 3 months late BUT I changed my mind so many times! The only rule was: ELIZA IS GONNA BE IN THE VID! lol! And then, I had this crazy idea to make a Chuck/Echo video... and then I thought of this song and I just knew it was meant for you mwahahaha! So I hope you'll enjoy this Jenna! OMFG Sarah this is EPIIIIIIC! I doubt there is a single vid to this pairing; I would NEVER have thought of it, but you make it wooooork! WHOA! The song is totally creepy and sets the tone for the whole vid and the effects and colors schemes you chose just fits like a hand in a glove. I just saw the vid (stupid exams!) and OMG! The atmosphere you create in it in addition to this amazing song is so mystical, exotic and i absolutely adore it! I loved the glows and the coloring is so beautiful and fitting! Really smart how you thought about pairing these two! And they def have a chemistry! I loved the slowing down of some clips and generally I could talk and talk about the vid for hours! xD Best of luck hun! Beautiful work on this!!

I like how the video didn't end happily. I'm not familiar with Dollhouse, but for whatever reason, she feels that she needs to be apart of it. It's sad for Chuck, but tragedy is much more entertaining than good old fashioned happy endings. Haha.
