Barrett Smith and Lee Barbour Perform at The Duckpond Potter

This was an excerpt from a concert put on by Barrett Smith at The Duckpond Pottery in Brevard, North Carolina. Barrett was accompanied in part by Lee Barbour, and in this clip, was joined spontaneously by Asheville guitar great, John Stickley. John, who is usuallly an impeccable player, does quite nicely here especially given the advanced state of his social condition. This show took place on August 6, 2008. The clip tagged on at the end was of Japanese banjo player, Akira Satake and his band at the Spring Leaf Festival in 2008. The percussionist seen ending the piece is the incredible world percussionist, River Guergarian, who is based in Asheville, N.C.
