George Harrison departed this earthly existence for a better place on 29th November 2001. This is just a timely reminder of some of the musical beauty he left behind. Its a love song that encapsulates the calm and gentle character of the youngest Beatle and has been much covered by the likes of Elvis Presley, Paul Mccartney, Joe cocker, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra and others.

I like the way the words champion the inner beauty of an individual. It's the unquantifiable essence of her being that makes him feel so completely overwhelmed with feelings of deep affection. He seems to waver in the middle 8 but returns in the final verse to total belief in her all consuming charm and loveliness.
