While I like this song (not as much as other older Classic Cameo) its so evident that Cameo was trying to stay relevent with this song. Other R&B groups came along & with a totally different sound, alot of them (not all) having no true talent, soul,no one played instruments and it was ALL created with a button such as "insta drums" or "insta guitar" and these groups stomped authentic talent like Cameo out the picture basically. Now there are some groups from the 90's I love,but,70's& 80's all day!

@LBass5 Don't be a funking purist (pun intended)! Just enjoy the funk out of it and NEVER argue with a man wearing a cod-piece.

.....YOWWWWWWW!!!!!

@CommericalCritic Cameo is one of my all time favorites, but please don't hate if some of us don't agree that "Slave couldn't hold a candlestick to Cameo". It's bad enough when we have to defend funk against other styles - why do we need to put separation between the people who love funk?

@CommericalCritic I would have to say Cameo has a better stage presence than Slave, but Slave wouldn't no punk back in the day. They could hold their own with the best of the funk bands as far as hits go. Slyde will always be a Slave jam no matter who attempts to remake it. Some originals will always be the best. And that horn section riff at the beginning of the song is Ohio Players Skin Tight.
