If you have to bathe your rabbit ensure that the fur is fully dry including the base of the fur at the skin, they are very sensitve and could easily catch hypothermia. Generally its not a good idea to wet rabbits but in this case it was necessary as Anna had vanished up the chimney and was covered in soot. If your rabbit has dirty patches use wet wipes or cotton wool.

  • ur never suppose 2 give a bunny a bath, they can have a heart attack

  • I wish people would read the video description before 'sharing' their opinion without all fo the information....

  • I do realise that you are not meant to bathe rabbits, thank you for your comments however if you read the information about the video you will see that the rbabit was covered in soot. Bathing the rabbit (as quickly as possible) was the best option in avoiding her ingesting the soot which would have caused serious illness.

If anyones does ever have to wash their rabbit you have to ensure that its fur is fully dry down to the skin.

  • l've always avoided wet wipes or anything with soaps or moisturisers in them, don't think they are very good for bunny's skin

  • Yes thats true, its best to avoid all unnatural products. If the rabbit has very matted in poo then wet wipes do help, Ive never had the need to use them and any healthy rabbit should not get to the stage where its necessary. I keep some sensitive baby wipes just in case. Im sure cotton wool and warm water work just as well and safer.

    Thanks for the comment! :)

  • So she should have been left to clean and ingest the soot that was all over her fur, and possibly poison herself?

Yeah, that would be a smart move.

Of course she is cleaning herself, rabbits dislike being wet, but its better then being covered in toxic muck. Its the lesser of 2 evils, and is perfectly safe when done correctly.

This rabbits owner obviously knows what they are doing, and has their pets wlefare well taken care of. You REALLY should think before you post such idiotic comments.
