This is a women's lib episode: (1) Laurie's girl friend Frankie want tried out for basketball and didn't make the team because she was discriminated against. (2) At the recording session, Laurie said she liked the tune. It was a typical Keith Partridge tune with typical Keith Partridge values. The song speaks for itself. She doesn't yet realize that Keith has a male friend named Jerry who is running for Homecoming Queen.

still a great tune. the song writers and the REAL muscians for this show were very talented. cassidy was only one really singing/playing.
laurie was mad because she thought the song about a gold digging girl was agains her femenist ideals.
