  • @robertslistening It's because they have the feminine touch.

  • @hilaryhahn210 Hey, need to tell you something. Some guy that does tutorial clips thought that when you left a comment on one of his videos that you were Hilary, and he even tweeted about it!

  • Good question, she was using a different one several times last year, so, could be.

  • The only one revision that Hillary and all musicians should take into account before they release a single soundbite through the media is to MUTE all exaggerated distortion and overtones through electronic media. Did you hear the sound of her mega-million-dollar violin, (whether of Strad of Guaneri)? The sawtooth wave was pathetically distorted beyond words, creating a listening fatigue where the listener is glad its over. Hillary's amazing sound deserves so much more! She's the best today!

  • @utopiandesign Well, actually her violin is a Vuillaume, which is a copy of Paganini's Cannone. And the sound is probably something she can't control unless she becomes a diva and starts barking orders for everyone to accommodate the audio everywhere she goes; I seriously doubt she'd put anyone through that, so, for now we'll take the passively shoddy TV audio.

  • @chrismcgovernmusic Thanks bro for the update. My experience with the common sound man is to sit down with him or her and test the tone before it is broadcast abroad. This way, you can control the overall tone before the recording begins. And I assure you, bro, that the results will deliver many hardcore pop listeners to give heed to the superior sound of the master artists in music. OK?

  • @utopiandesign Ok, bro, no need to get so bro-y. Geez! is it really that bad sounding? I don't hear any distortion. Watch her other local news appearance on the Detroit clip and see if you feel the same way.

  • soo beautiful that she is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's a big kitchen you have

  • good morning :)

  • Beautiful playing.

  • The more advance in her carrer the more prouve her talent; She is great violinist!

  • I think I can somewhat explain the sound issue.

It looks like a good ribbon mic that's too close; an appropriate compromise because of the room. She's in the corner, against glass and a hard floor. The sound reflections from those surfaces would probably arrive at the mic at such a time, and it sufficient amplitude, as to interfere. It also appears this is the only mic, so there's no "room" to the recording. After all that, post processing and compression are overdone.

  • I wonder if Hahn used some other violin in this video because it doesn't look like her Vuillaume, and also it sounds rather like a new violin than the Vuillaume.

    Or is that just me?
